(Ep. 8) The Best Way To Get It Done Is To Do It Yourself!

Hello Beautiful People!

I hope you all are spending time with the ones you love during this holiday season. Life for me has been busy as usual. But at the end of the day, I love it and I can’t complain!

This podcast episode touches on doing things on your own. This year I have been experiencing a few setbacks in regards to projects I want to take on simply because I was trying to get others to hop on the band wagon rather than just do it myself.

After a few failed attempts with these projects, I had an epiphany! The reason why my project hasn’t taken off is because of my own fear based mentality. Basically, I wanted to have others be apart of the project because I was a bit scared to do it as a solo. However, I still wanted majority of the control over it, being that it was originally my idea. Yeah, so much for that…

So, I have decided to take a new approach, do a bit more research, and start over! I’m totally excited, especially being that I’ll have total control over every aspect of what I am trying to do. Like the saying goes, “The best way to get it done is to do it yourself”.

I look forward to sharing my forthcoming projects with you all!!!

Peace and Much Love,

Vic

(Ep. 7) Hurricane Irma, Threatening Neighbor, and More

(Ep. 6) Comparison

It’s been a few weeks but here is another episode for your entertainment! It was actually recorded a weeks ago, however due to unforeseen circumstances my release date was delayed.

This episode touches on comparison (social media related especially). In today’s day and age, we see so many unrealistic portrayals of life through the lenses of social media. These illusions have become so much embedded in our culture and society that we often forget that they are just that, illusions! Often times, I have found myself looking at other people’s social media accounts and comparing my lives to theirs. There have also even been times where friends will call me and vent about their personal lives only to go onto social media hours later to post pictures and videos that don’t exactly correlate to what they had just discussed with me….

In a nutshell, social media is a place where people have the ability to pick and choose what they want to display in regards to their life. We never really know what goes on behind closed doors. Therefore, all that glitters is not gold! What is meant for you is yours! Don’t waste your time competing with others. It’s unhealthy and you will never truly be fulfilled by doing so.

Peace and Much Love,

Vic

(Ep. 5) Friendship: Part 2 Being Platonic

Hi everyone!!!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer! I’ve been taking care of a lot of things lately, which has kept me from releasing another podcast episode. However, I’m back at it and I have a new one for you today!!! And I have a special guest with me, as promised in the last episode. This episode covers friendships from both a man’s and woman’s point of view. We also discuss whether or not it is possible for men and women to have platonic relationships in addition to a few other things.

Thanks for the support.

Peace and Much Love,

Vic

Life has definitely been busy these days… AND I LOVE IT!!! Therefore, all of the business has kept me from releasing a new podcast episode. But have no fear, I have it here just for you all now!!!!

This episode talks about the awkwardness of having an ex boyfriend of mine shamelessly harass me on Facebook -_-. In addition to that randomness, I discuss the meaning of friendship and my experiences with people I do or have considered to be my friends.

Thanks for all of the support and I hope you enjoy!

Vic

(Ep. 3) The Day I Quit My Job: Two Months Later

Hi everyone!!! I hope you all are having a FANTASTIC day! So as you all know, I was inspired to start this blog as a result of abruptly quitting my last job. It has been two months and one day exactly since I quit. And I do not regret it AT ALL.

In this episode of my podcast I will be discussing what I have been up to for these past few months and how my life is going. Below, I have listed two books that I recommend for both leisure and informative purposes. I promise you, once you read these, you will not be disappointed.

Lastly, I’d like to personally thank each and everyone of you that take the time out of your busy schedules to check out my blog/podcast. I deeply appreciate the support as well as constructive criticism. YOU ALL ROCK!!

( Ep. 2) Plastic Surgery: Has It Become the New Norm?

Hi everyone!!! I had a bit of a mental block, but it’s over now! Today’s topic is Plastic Surgery. It seems like it has become the new norm. So much to the point where people have such unrealistic body goals and aspirations. I’m all for self improvement and wanting to look good. However, are people wanting to look good for themselves? Or are they wanting to look good for others? What do you all think? Hope you enjoy! Feel free to leave comments, I love interacting with you all 🙂

(Ep. 1) Dating: In General and Interracial

So today’s topic is about dating, both from a general and interracial standpoint. Dating can be lots of fun. However, it can also be a learning experience! It gives you the opportunity to learn a lot about yourself as well as the person you are dating. The advice given in this podcast doesn’t necessarily only apply to couples that are dating, but can be useful to engaged and married couples too! There are several important elements in a relationship including getting to know one another, expectations, communication, autonomy, and much, much more! I hope you take something with you from this podcast that will be beneficial to you and yours! Enjoy:-)

Disclaimer: Some of the things that I mention are from my own personal experiences with dating and are in no way intended to offend anyone. I’m simply stating things that I’ve gone through.

The Day I Quit My Job

So exactly three weeks ago I did one of the most exciting, scary, yet satisfying things I’ve every done in my life. I QUIT MY JOB!  And without giving a two week notice, at that. I literally just up and quit. Yes, I am aware that quitting a job in that manner is highly frowned upon. However, I had to do what was best for me and my sanity! Initially, I woke up that morning as usual and began to get ready. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I realized that I just couldn’t go on another day at that God forsaken place. So I wrote a resignation letter, grabbed my company shirt and badge, and drove down to the facility to turn it all in.

Everyday, there are people who slave away at jobs that make them completely miserable. Unfortunately, I had become one of those people. It was consuming my life. It was making me unhappy, and it was quite obvious. Even my daughter could tell. That’s when I knew I had to make a change. So I decided to create this blog that exact, same day!

Within the past 8 months or so I have witnessed many young people pass away. Two of which were an uncle of mine and a high school classmate. This made me realize that the only thing certain in life is death! Therefore, you must spend your time wisely. Spend it doing things you love surrounded by people you love. We are all on borrowed time so we must use it as best as we can while we are here. After all, life is a gift!

(The picture above is from the day I quit. As you can see, I was very happy lol!)
