The Day I Quit My Job

So exactly three weeks ago I did one of the most exciting, scary, yet satisfying things I’ve every done in my life. I QUIT MY JOB! ¬†And without giving a two week notice, at that. I literally just up and quit. Yes, I am aware that quitting a job in that manner is highly frowned upon. However, I had to do what was best for me and my sanity! Initially, I woke up that morning as usual and began to get ready. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I realized that I just couldn’t go on another day at that God forsaken place. So I wrote a resignation letter, grabbed my company shirt and badge, and drove down to the facility to turn it all in.

Everyday, there are people who slave away at jobs that make them completely miserable. Unfortunately, I had become one of those people. It was consuming my life. It was making me unhappy, and it was quite obvious. Even my daughter could tell. That’s when I knew I had to make a change. So I decided to create this blog that exact, same day!

Within the past 8 months or so I have witnessed many young people pass away. Two of which were an uncle of mine and a high school classmate. This made me realize that the only thing certain in life is death! Therefore, you must spend your time wisely. Spend it doing things you love surrounded by people you love. We are all on borrowed time so we must use it as best as we can while we are here. After all, life is a gift!

(The picture above is from the day I quit. As you can see, I was very happy lol!)
